The Trafford 10 kilometres road race took place on Sunday 10th September at Partington with 3 Warrington Athletic Club runners competing. Lian Thompson was first to finish in 24th place in a time of 34 minutes 43 seconds. He was followed home by Tony McCarthy in 68th place in 37minutes 39 seconds and Mervyn Ward completed the team in 72nd place in 37 minutes 44 seconds. Tony and Mervyn finished 4th in the over 45 and over 50 age groups respectively and the team finished in 7th place. | (No pictures of the event) |
